SHEDDING SOME BLOOD

I don't know Rick Scarborough, but the Associated Press describes him as "a Southern Baptist preacher and president of Texas-based Vision America." He's quoted as saying this:

When you really take a stand on issues dear to the heart of social conservatives, you're going to shed some blood in the process.

Scarborough is exactly right. And there's only one major candidate of whom that's true. For the background on what Governor Romney did in Massachusetts, see here, here, and here. And to see some of the utterly awful attacks he faced, just check out the website queerty.com. I won't include some of the most despicable names Governor Romney has been called over there, but some of the more printable examples include "famously anti-fag," homophobic, bigoted, and mentally ill.
