ROMNEY WINS CPAC STRAW POLL!
Just in (no link yet). Romney wins straw poll. Rudy second. And McCain? Fifth.
This is huge and will blow away all the "he's not a real conservative" garbage of the last few weeks.
Great news.

After spending most of the day with Governor and Ann Romney at CPAC, I can tell you that this will prove to be a major day for the campaign. In addition to winning the straw poll, we won the hearts and minds of those in attendance. I was asked by one of the major players at the Conference how it felt to stand before a group that was not "your crowd". At the end of the conference as we were leaving and had won, the same person came up to me and he said, "this is your crowd now."
