PERCEPTION OF CONSERVATISM
The Washington Times says that a new poll shows voters see Gov. Romney as a "conservative candidate" more than the others. Note that this is the first time Thompson hasn't led on this measure, probably due to the fact that he came out opposing the Federal Amendment to protect traditional marriage and also the Human Life Amendment. Here's the Rasmussen numbers:
Romney 46 percentThompson 40 percent
Huckabee 38 percent
McCain 28 percent
Giuliani 21 percent
Paul 16 percent
