This is good, and much needed:

Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney, decrying ethical lapses in Washington and singling out fellow Republicans, on Thursday called for stripping the federal pensions from those convicted of using their office to abuse the public trust.

Campaigning in Iowa, the former Massachusetts governor said his proposal wasn't aimed at a specific individual but rather was a response to the deteriorating ethical climate in the nation's capital.

"Frankly, I'm particularly disappointed in our own," Romney said.

This hits on a question conservatives should be thinking about: Which of the Big Three can conceivably campaign on ethics next year in light of Republicans' many recent mistakes? The media enjoy making fun of Governor Romney's squeaky-clean reputation--I think he's been called the "Oh gosh!" candidate in light of his refusal to curse--but no one else has it.

Finally, I have to admit that I also don't disagree with Senator Coburn, while his assessment of the current state of affairs in DC isn't so politically correct.
