James Dobson was on Laura Ingraham's radio show this morning. Listen to what he said.

My take is that Dr. Dobson is going through exactly the same analysis as many other Christians (especially in Iowa and New Hampshire, where the Governor is rising fast). They see that Rudy and McCain have fundamental flaws in their policy positions. At the same time, they are being introduced to Governor Romney (though not everyone gets to spend more than an hour with him, like Dr. Dobson recently did), and they are justifiably impressed. He has good answers on the entire range of issues, is definitely presidential, and (critically) he can win.

It will be very interesting to see what happens as this trend continues. The stronger the Governor becomes, the more the logic for a Thompson or Gingrich candidacy disappears. I think Fred Thompson's window of opportunity is closing fast. If he wants to be a factor, he needs to make a move soon.
