IT LOOKS LIKE I'M GOING TO IRAQ

Barring any unexpected developments, I will be leaving home and heading to Iraq very soon. If all goes according to plan, I will be joining one of America's most storied combat units and serving as a judge advocate. Although I'm going to miss Nancy and the kids more than I can possibly describe (in fact, I'm in a bit of denial over the whole thing; I just don't have a frame of reference for being gone from my family for at least a year), I know this is the right thing to do. We have to win the war against Jihadists, and we can't win if no one volunteers to fight. Some of my fellow soldiers will be there for their second or third or fourth tour.

It's my turn now.

I know that our readers are praying people, and I would ask you to pray for me but to especially pray for Nancy, Camille, and Austin. This is going to be a tough year.
