Romney is a strong supporter of the line item veto. Good for him. One of his opponents isn' t. The Republican Congress of the 1990s gave us a line-item veto but the Supreme Court struck it down. The name of the case? Clinton v. New York. That's right, America's Mayor, Hizzoner himself, Rudy Giuliani, took the lead in successfully suing to get rid of the line item veto. Thanks, Mr. Mayor.
