Maybe I was a bit too grumpy about the timing of today's debate. This statement by Governor Romney is also quite good:

Things that strike me:

1. He can admit to having made a mistake. Period. Men in his position can often be too proud.

2. His biggest mistake is having been effectively pro-choice. I agree.

3. He notes that he finally got it right while making a life-or-death decision in a leadership role. How many of the other would-be presidents have that kind of experience?
