It is tough to conceive of a more irresponsible and inaccurate headline and hit piece than this pathetic offering from WorldNetDaily (headlined "Romney: Hezbollah role model for U.S"). Read the article, then read the speech on which it's allegedly based. The Corner's Lisa Schiffren was initially deceived by WorldNetDaily's report, but then (much to her credit) quickly issued a mea culpa, linked to the Governor's speech, and said, "[N]ow having read the original speech I can only say that the partisan news organization which distorted it did so with total abandon."

I'm beginning to wonder what is wrong with WorldNetDaily. First, they continue to give prominent voice to the frankly bizarre argument that Governor Romney is somehow to blame for the same-sex marriage crisis in Massachusetts, and now they offer the story above?

Stop giving conservative journalism a bad name. Your irresponsiblity stains us all.
